YOU heard it here first!
  The g-d of the monotheistic religions (Islam, Christianity and Judaism) started out as the g-d of the Jews.
  The Jews called it by many names: Yahweh, Elohim, El, Elah, Eloah.
  El was the name of a person.  Elohim refers to El's seventy children.
