I have a friend who was asked which statement was most important to the company, she says she answered "Income Statement" and that she was wondering if this was correct. I like my answers better.
The one with the REAL numbers on it, not the ones that you cooked up for the auditors or the board, is an important set of numbers to have around.
Maybe the cooked one IS more important, hard to say. I mean, if it is a question of going to jail, the cooked numbes are more important, right?
But later, you are going to have to figure out what divisions have the money you can skim, in order to replace the stuff you stole, so the real numbers are important, too
Tell the interviewer there is no 100% right answer to that question, or any other question, and they should keep every single number, from one to infiinity, around, just in case someone wants to see it.
